Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mendorong transformasi signifikan dalam industri perbankan, khususnya melalui pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI). Implementasi AI tidak hanya ditujukan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, tetapi juga berpotensi memperkuat sumber pendapatan berbasis komisi (fee based income) serta menciptakan keunggulan kompetitif yang berkelanjutan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara konseptual peran AI dalam industri perbankan Indonesia melalui pendekatan studi literatur terhadap berbagai publikasi ilmiah, laporan industri, dan regulasi yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa AI telah dimanfaatkan pada berbagai aktivitas perbankan, seperti layanan nasabah berbasis chatbot, sistem deteksi fraud, analisis kelayakan kredit, manajemen risiko, serta personalisasi produk keuangan. Penerapan teknologi tersebut berkontribusi terhadap pengurangan biaya operasional, peningkatan kualitas layanan, dan optimalisasi pendapatan nonbunga bank. Namun demikian, implementasi AI masih menghadapi tantangan berupa kesiapan infrastruktur teknologi, kompetensi sumber daya manusia, keamanan data, serta kepatuhan terhadap regulasi. Artikel ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi akademisi, praktisi perbankan, dan regulator dalam memahami arah transformasi industri perbankan berbasis kecerdasan buatan.
