PERAN GURU BIMBINGAN DAN KONSELING DALAM PEMBENTUKAN KARAKTER ISLAMI SISWA DI SMP ISLAM AR ROUDHOH

This study aims to describe the role of the Guidance and Counseling (BK) teacher in shaping the Islamic character of students at Ar Roudhoh Islamic Junior High School. The research method used is qualitative, with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The research subjects consisted of one BK teacher and two students. The results show that BK services in the school are implemented with a holistic and integrated character approach, focusing on shaping students' noble morals, not merely dealing with problems. Programs such as collaboration with the KUA (Office of Religious Affairs) for bullying prevention ("No Bullying"), conflict mediation, and home visits are the main methods used. The main challenge faced is the negative stigma towards BK teachers, who are often perceived as "school police." The applied solutions include a proactive approach, participatory communication, and strong collaboration with various educational stakeholders, such as the principal, subject teachers (especially Islamic Education/PAI teachers), parents, and professionals like psychologists. This synergy has proven effective in creating a school environment that is conducive to the formation of students' Islamic character, characterized by the values of empathy, responsibility, and akhlakul karimah (noble character).
