Author Guidelines

The  Journal of Integrated Innovation Science provides comprehensive author guidelines to ensure submissions adhere to the journal’s standards for quality, formatting, and ethical publishing. Authors are encouraged to follow these instructions carefully when preparing their manuscripts to facilitate a smooth submission and review process.


1. General Information

Scope of the Journal

The journal welcomes submissions that align with its focus on sustainable engineering and innovative technologies, including but not limited to: renewable energy, circular economy, green building technologies, artificial intelligence for sustainability, and advanced materials. Please refer to the Focus and Scope section on the journal’s website for more details.

Language

All submissions must be written in clear and concise English. Authors are encouraged to use professional language editing services if necessary to ensure linguistic quality.


2. Manuscript Preparation

2.1 Format and Layout

Manuscripts must be prepared using the journal’s template, which follows the IEEE standard format. The template can be downloaded from Template Link.

Formatting Requirements:

  • Page Size: A4 (210 x 297 mm)
  • Margins: Top: 25 mm, Bottom: 25 mm, Left: 20 mm, Right: 20 mm
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
  • Spacing: Single line spacing
  • Columns: Single-column format with a 1 cm gutter
  • Page Limit: Typically, 6–12 pages, including references, tables, and figures

2.2 Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts must include the following sections:

  1. Title Page:

    • Title: A concise and descriptive title (maximum 15 words)
    • Author Information: Full names, affiliations, and email addresses of all authors
    • Corresponding Author: Indicate the corresponding author with a footnote
  2. Abstract:

    • A brief summary of the research (150–250 words) covering the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions
  3. Keywords:

    • Provide 3–6 keywords relevant to the research
  4. Introduction:

    • State the research problem, objectives, and significance of the study
  5. Methodology:

    • Provide detailed information on the research methods, materials, and tools used
  6. Results and Discussion:

    • Present findings clearly, with appropriate tables, figures, and charts
    • Include an analysis and interpretation of the results
  7. Conclusion:

    • Summarize the key findings and their implications
  8. Acknowledgments (optional):

    • Mention any funding sources or contributors
  9. References:

    • Follow the IEEE citation style (numbered, in-text references)

3. Figures and Tables

  • Figures: Must be of high quality (300 dpi minimum) and placed within the manuscript close to where they are referenced. Use clear, descriptive captions.
  • Tables: Use concise titles and ensure tables are editable, not embedded as images.

4. Submission Process

4.1 Online Submission

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system at [https://j-iis.web.id/index.php/innovation/about/submissions].

4.2 File Format

  • Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
  • Supplementary materials, such as high-resolution figures, may be uploaded as separate files.

4.3 Submission Checklist

Ensure the following before submission:

  • Manuscript formatted according to the journal’s template
  • Abstract and keywords included
  • References follow the IEEE style or APA style
  • Figures and tables properly formatted and labeled
  • Disclosure of funding and conflicts of interest

5. Peer Review

The journal follows a double-anonymized peer review process, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Authors can expect the following:

  • Initial editorial screening for scope, format, and originality
  • Peer review by at least two independent reviewers
  • Decisions communicated within 6–8 weeks

6. Ethical Requirements

Plagiarism

The journal has a strict anti-plagiarism policy, allowing a maximum similarity index of 20%. Submissions exceeding this threshold will be returned for revision or rejected.

Authorship

All listed authors must have contributed significantly to the work and approved the final manuscript.

Data Availability

Authors are encouraged to provide a Data Availability Statement, detailing where and how supporting data can be accessed.


7. Publication Charges

The journal does not charge authors for submission, review, or publication. All costs are covered by institutional support, ensuring the journal’s open-access model.

All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).
